A Little About Us

Jim’s love of cats was instilled to him by his mom. His little feline brother was a brown classic tabby domestic mix named Tubbs.

Jim and Kathy adopted many lifelong beautiful cats and volunteered in multiple rescue organizations across the United States. After the loss of their beloved Lucky, a rescue who looked like a Maine Coon mix, Jim and Kathy began to research a few breeds to include the Maine Coon. They wanted more time loving their family members.

In their search, a wonderful cattery’s website pulled up with the rainbow bridge poem along with photos of beautiful cats and information on HCM. Kathy reached out to this cattery and arranged to meet her at an upcoming CFA cat show held in Schertz, TX. In 2013, Jim and Kathy went to their first CFA Cat Show. The Maine Coon Kitten Class was being judged in Barbara Jaeger’s ring. This judge spoke about every inch of this ginormous brown and white class tabby boy, who was a few months old. With amazement and wonder, Kathy mustered up some courage to follow this huge boy back to his benching station with his owner, who turned out to be the lady they were there to meet, Donna Hinton of Nascat. The entire experience was engaging, educational and life changing. A few months later, we adopted our first Maine Coon from Donna Hinton.

As a couple, we’ve had cats in our household since 1994. We’ve been showing pedigreed Maine Coons since 2015, that represent multiple breeders. Successes include multiple CFA/TICA Grand Champions/Premiers (Alters), and multi-year Regional wins. Our cats have also found success in therapy settings, providing comforting care to people.
